ABOUT THE PRACTITIONER

Romy Hume practises Usui Shiki Ryoho,the traditional, simple form of Reiki as introduced to the Western world by Hawayo Takata. Usui Shiki Ryoho will appeal to the most sceptical, down to earth clients as it does not incorporate any "New Age" add-ons. Romy speaks French and German as well as English, and holds an MA (Hons) from the University of Auckland. Her work ethic, while being professional and straight forward, is rooted in compassion.

Where possible, she offers Reiki sessions in the convenience of the client's own home (mobile clinic - massage table provided) or in a treatment room looking out on Bucklands Beach, Auckland.


Romy is a member of Reiki New Zealand Incorporated and strictly abides by their Code Of Ethics and Code Of Practice.

As the ability to practice Reiki is passed on directly from teacher to student, lineage-awareness is a matter of respect, and a way for the client to ascertain that the practitioner was trained by a certified Master.
